This website is operated by The Wissage Bakehouse Limited. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Wissage Bakehouse Limited. The Wissage Bakehouse Limited offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By confirming your order on this website you accept these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to revise and update these terms and conditions without notice; please check our terms prior to making a purchase.

Our store is using WooCommerce. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Making a Purchase

You will need to create an account with us on our website before making a purchase; this enables you to store all of your delivery details so you don’t have to enter them every time you place an order with us.

Payment Terms

Please note that all goods must be paid for in full before an order can be dispatched. Standard delivery is £8.75 per order, delivery charges cover the cost of packaging and shipping.

Delivery dates are chosen by yourself during the checkout process then confirmed by us via email shortly after receipt of an order. Please refer to our Delivery page to view our current delivery schedule.

It is your responsibility to check that you have chosen your preferred delivery date during the checkout process. We cannot take responsibility for errors made during the checkout process. Please double check ALL order details before finalising your order.

Additionally, it is your responsibility to ensure that someone is available to accept delivery of your order on the chosen delivery date. If the order is being sent as a gift, we strongly recommend that the recipient is made aware of the expected delivery. Currently signatures are not required for deliveries and items can be left in a ‘safe place’.

Special Delivery Instructions

When placing an order, you will be asked to provide Special Delivery Instructions for the courier. These instructions will tell the courier where to place the delivery should someone not be available to accept the delivery in person. If these instructions are provided the delivery will be left in your specified safe place and you accept this at your own risk. We accept no liability for its loss or damage.

If Special Delivery Instructions are not provided, the courier may take the delivery back to the delivery depot. In this instance, the courier will leave a calling card, asking the you to contact the delivery depot to re-arrange delivery. It is your responsibility to re-arrange delivery. Please note our products will remain chilled in their special packaging for 48 hours. If the delivery is not re-arranged within 48 hours, the goods will be destroyed. Due to the perishable nature of the products we cannot accept returns or issue refunds for products that the courier has been unable to deliver.

Please note: by not providing Special Delivery Instructions, you are confirming that someone will be present to accept your delivery, at the delivery address provided. The delivery will be deemed complete, either when you receive the delivery in person, or when the delivery is left in a safe place.

Deliveries via courier will be made between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. However, please be aware that this may be subject to change during busy periods.

We always aim to deliver goods within the delivery slot agreed. However, we cannot accept liability for any costs, losses, damages or expenses incurred by you or any third party if we deliver the goods outside of this slot or don’t deliver all or any of the goods in the order.

Sustainable Product Packaging

Our products are packed to ensure that they stay as fresh as possible whilst on their journey to you. Once they have been freshly baked and cooled, all products are wrapped and labelled accordingly then packaged, securely sealed and labelled with your name and address details. We use Woolcool packaging with ice packs and wool insulation – natural and sustainable the wool liners have superior insulation properties (certified to 5°C for 48 hours) produced as a by-product of rearing sheep, and are totally compostable and biodegradable (releasing valuable nitrates back into the soil) as well as being suitable for a host of other uses.

Product Labelling

All products are labelled with their description, ingredients and allergens (allergens appear in bold).

Unfulfilled Orders

In the unlikely event that we are unable to meet an order, we will contact you by telephone or by email as soon as possible and a full refund will be issued.

If we are unable to meet part of an order, we will contact you as soon as possible to offer a substitute product of the same or equal value. Alternatively, you can accept a full refund.

Our Satisfaction Guarantee

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the products that you have received, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt. We aim to respond to any complaint within two working days and to resolve any complaint to your satisfaction within seven working days.

Where a claim of defect or damage is made, the goods may have to be returned by you to us within the use by date on the product. You shall be entitled to a replacement or a full refund (including delivery costs) plus any return postal charges if the goods are in fact defective and/or need to be returned.

Your Statutory Rights are not affected

We regret that, due to their perishable nature, we are not able to accept returned goods or claims for goods ordered in error.

Non-Delivery Claims

In the event of an order failing to arrive when expected, please contact us by telephone on 07976 018044 or by email sales@wissagebakehouse.co.uk within 24 hours of the expected delivery. We will look into the delay immediately and inform you of the situation by phone or by email.

Cancellation

We reserve the right to deduct the transaction fee charged by our online payment gateway from any refund issued.

Our Right as a Supplier

We reserve the right to change prices and information at any time and without notice throughout this website.
